Hello, welcome to our challenge blog. One night while commiserating about our affliction, Lea and I thought up a great idea on how to make a dent in our long lost and forgotten stash of scrapbooking items. You know how it goes, new products come out and some where along the way what was new 6 months ago, gets shoved to the side as all the new goodies keep coming and you keep buying...We thought what better way to branch out creatively than to have a few challenges to help us out. You all know you have those items way back in your drawer or the bottom of your bag. Maybe you just aren't sure how to best use a particular item that you just had to have. Well, that is where we come in. This blog started out for our enjoyment, but we figured what the heck, let's post our challenges for everyone. We may just get you inspired to pull out those long lost eyelets, or that never used scrappy tool. So, we hope you come along for the ride... get ready to start using your SCRAPBOOK stash. =) =)

Welcome... and our first challenge

Hi fellow scrappers. We are so happy to share with you our first challenge. During last Saturdays weekly crop night, Lea and I decided on what our first challenge would be.... TEMPLATES. We know you have some laying around some where, whether they are alpha stencils or shapes. We don't care. Just pull them out and find a way to put them to good use.

We both have a pretty crazy collection of Crafter's Workshop Templates and haven't even used most of them so you may see this challenge again some day..  We use a Crop In Style Paper Sticker Binder to store them in. This was Lea's ingenious idea. She started it and then everyone in our little group of local croppers started following suit. We use the 12x12 inserts for the large templates and the inserts with 4 pockets for the smaller ones. Works great.
Lea used a Crafter's Workshop template called Floral Vines.  She traced it and used a whole lotta stickles to fill it in.  Love it.

And here is mine. I used maya mist with a Crafter's Workshop template as well. This one is a 6x6 called Orchid.

We've recruited some of our local friends to participate in our challenges and be our creative team of inspiration. Up this month is Cari. She used a circle template on the following layout. She used the circle as a guide and sanded a circle on the Jenni Bowlin embossed paper. offers a great effect.

We'd love to see what you create.  Use the mister linky to add your creations. It will be at the end of every blog post.

We hope to post the challenges at least monthly. We may be back bimonthly, or whenever we feel like it..=) We are pretty laid back around here and hate deadlines. At least I do.

I've entered my LO for your first challenge but ignore the first Mister Linky as it added the wrong url and I can't delete it.

I love the idea for this challenge blog!!! I am all about using my stash - for economic reasons (smile) as well as the fact that I'm running out of storage space! Yikes! Came here following a shout out from Julie TW's blog - very glad I did!
